->The Mod

"Aye, these weapons should earn me a dragon's horde now that I can actually *sell* them here farther south - did you know they used to be naught but earth-grade iron? Nay, it's true! Then, not less than a year ago, Sheemish and I were awoken by this strange greenish glow emanating from them - it was like each one was a torch, they were so bright!" -- Conlan, Underrepresented Items Mod
The Underrepresented Items mod blatantly steals some items from Icewind Dale 2 in order to flesh out some item groups in BG2 that are, shall we say, a little light for early game tactics (e.g., darts, maces, halberds). Note that unlike the Item Upgrade Mod, we don't claim to be particularly balanced here (although there haven't been any real balance complaints in almost a year). ->Installing The Mod

Installation checklist and instructions:
  1. This Mod works with (or without) The Darkest Day - ToB Compat Version. Install TDD-ToB first if you want to use it.
  2. This Mod works with (or without) all other WeiDU mods. See the Solaufein installation instructions for details (and Mac installation instructions).
  3. This Mod does not require IEEP or any other TeamBG utilities and it will not replace your existing DIALOG.TLK.
  4. Click here to view the Mod README file.
  5. Download the Underrepresented Items Mod (version v6)
  6. The EXE file above is a WinRAR self-extracting archive. Run it, and in the Install to field put your BGII directory. That is normally: If you do not like self-extracting EXEs, you can get a normal RAR version.
  7. Run the newly-extracted Setup-Underrep.EXE program that you will now find in your BGII directory. Choose your language and then choose which components to install. You may uninstall any or all of them later. Unzip the ZIP file into your BGII directory. That is normally:
  8. If you like this sort of thing, you may also like the Item Upgrade Mod.
  9. You may run Setup-Underrep.EXE again to uninstall any component that you have already installed.
